Meet Our Owner

Necessity shaped Priya’s journey. After losing her mother at age 10, she learned to cook with whatever she had in her small Mumbai kitchen. Her creativity grew, leading her to cook for family and neighbors. After moving to the Bay Area, a simple school event sparked small catering orders. She hasn’t looked back since, and her dream of creating, cooking, and owning a restaurant is now coming true. PRIYA SWAMY

At Turmeric Hut - Indian Restaurant, we use fresh ingredients and whole spices to make every dish from scratch. Our guests love watching naan bake in our open tandoor oven while enjoying favorites like Butter Chicken, Tandoori Chicken, and Aloo Gobi. We’re also a proudly woman-owned restaurant offering a weekend buffet, making authentic Indian dining welcoming, fun, and full of flavor for everyone.
